Design and Manufacture of High Quality Control Systems

GB Controls is a leading British designer and manufacturer of high quality electrical and electronic control systems. We have extensive expertise in motor control, inverter drives and PLC systems and software, using highly experienced personnel drawn from many diverse sectors. Utilising in excess of 4,000 sq ft of workshop space, we have the capability to design and manufacture industrial control systems in standard enclosures and custom built suites. Our expertise extends to the design and manufacture of printed circuit boards and sub assemblies, as well as cable harnesses and looms to customer specifications. We provide the highest quality at a competitive price with a sharp focus on fast turnaround – all aimed at achieving customer satisfaction.

Established in December 1984, we operate from a convenient location in Colne, Lancashire, close to the motorway and rail network.

Initially specialising in refrigeration control systems, we rapidly developed our expertise into other market sectors.

The company now has over 25 years experience in supplying a variety of sectors with a wide range of electrical control panels and fault rated motor control centres, either from our standard designs or to our customers’ bespoke specifications.

In that time we have earned a first class name and reputation for our ability to deliver within strict deadlines, to a high specification whilst continuing to remain competitive.

We achieved ISO 9001 compliance in 2003 and continue to maintain a certified quality assurance system to BS EN ISO 9001.

GB Controls is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) business partner programme, demonstrating our commitment to promote and develop knowledge and professionalism throughout our organisation.
