HRS 32nd golf tournament

The Hampshire Refrigeration Society (HRS) pulled out all the stops again at its latest golf tournament. The venue was the prestigious Old Thorns Hotel and golf complex, set deep in the Hampshire countryside.

Team winners, T F Solutions.

Unfortunately, the day started with over a hundred competitors tackling the nine hole Texas Scrambles in the rain. However, as time went by the sun emerged for the main event, the 18 hole Stableford competition, which was fought competitively.

The golf was then followed by a meal and prize presentation. HRS chairman, John Emm, welcomed everyone to Old Thorns and thanked the sponsors for the numerous prizes which were on offer.

He also introduced two new committee members and their roles, Kyle Hobley as media co-ordinator and Damian Wiszniewski as events co-ordinator.

The golf prize presentation started with the Texas Scramble team winners of the first Tee, Javac team two and of the ninth Tee,  Javac team one. The runners up were Wolseley and Kooltech respectively.

The best gross score went to Paul Airey of Oceanair, who on the day played exceptionally well and could have taken further competition prizes. The best Nett score went to Lee Chard of ICS Cool Energy with Andrew Powels as Runner up.
