With the help of Cold Store Rentals, which successfully installed a weather-proof cold room last summer, Henkel is now able to deal with increased demand as its facilities have doubled in size.
Henkel is a global brand and a world leading adhesives producer. Its Cheshire distribution centre supplies glue and bonding agents - including the Loctite brand - to retail and industry throughout the UK.
Distribution manager Des Drohan explains: “Since the original cold store was installed, we have been able to improve the service we offer to customers.
“Thanks to the reliability of the cold store, the number of products has increased and we now need more space to provide greater capacity. As we have a rent-to-buy agreement with Cold Store Rentals, we have the flexibility to change and adapt the storage concept to suit our needs.”
The original cold room and the subsequent extension are built to a high-specification to comply with EU fire-related standards, due to the high value and high risk of the products being stored.
Director of Cold Store Rentals, Steve Prior, says: “We’re proud to be able to offer the flexibility that means we can adapt the cold rooms to our customers’ ever changing needs, and as a result are able to support them in their growth, of which Henkel is a prime example.
“Due to our specialist modular-built cold rooms we have been able to double the capacity, after only a year into the five year rental plan.”
Cold Store Rentals is also supplying 24/7 service with proactive maintenance for the cold room to provide peace of mind that temperature sensitive products will be protected as far as possible.
