Former GEA Heat Exchangers Group rebrands as Kelvion

Kelvion is the new name for the former GEA Heat Exchangers Group, which formally separated from the GEA Group, the company announced yesterday (9 November).

Kelvion is the new name for the former GEA Heat Exchangers Group, which formally separated from the GEA Group, the company announced yesterday (9 November).

This new name pays homage to Lord Kelvin (1824 - 1907), who formulated the laws of thermodynamics and absolute units of temperature are stated in kelvin, in his honour.

The company has been gradually transforming itself through changes to its website, in social media and at trade shows. The announcement of the new name and logo completes the process.

Although, the name Kelvion is new, the company says it will continue as before as a global expert in heat exchange and is committed to its customers. It will continue to develop its products, manufacturing them with precision and distributing them globally. In addition, it says it will go on to offer one of the world's largest heat exchanger product portfolios comprising plate heat exchangers, shell and tube heat exchangers, modular cooling towers and finned tube and refrigeration heat exchangers for a wide range of applications.

Due to local legal regulations, the renaming of the individual companies will take some time to complete and customers will be informed when GEA Heat Exchangers Ltd - GEA Searle Systems has been successfully changed over to the new brand.
