Airedale International opens new training centre

The new facility offers a range of training options designed to help delegates develop an understanding of air conditioning, from basic principles through to system design and training. The training centre is also accredited to deliver CITB courses designed to provide the necessary competencies for working with F-gases and electrical installations.

Airedale International has unveiled its new state-of-the-art training centre in Rawdon, Leeds.

The new facility offers a range of training options designed to help delegates develop an understanding of air conditioning, from basic principles through to system design and training. The training centre is also accredited to deliver CITB courses designed to provide the necessary competencies for working with F-gases and electrical installations.

Aimed at consultants, sales engineers, and installation and servicing professionals across the air conditioning and refrigeration industry, the courses offer practical and classroom training on the latest technologies in a dedicated classroom and on fully operational units in three workshop areas.

Air conditioning area: Dedicated training rigs designed to give the learner a rounded knowledge of all major aspects of air conditioning required for successful completion of installation, commissioning and maintenance of the refrigeration, chilled water and air side properties of systems. In addition a number of new systems have been added to improve the delivery of the mandatory F-Gas qualification.

Electrical area: Designed to give a practical understanding of safe working when designing, wiring and testing electrical assemblies as well as the correct fault finding techniques.

Brazing area: Equipped to provide new and experienced learners with the necessary skills and understanding required to correctly install refrigerant pipe work.

Airedale training manager Keith Nicholls said: “At a time of significant growth in the UK air conditioning and refrigeration market, new technology and legislation is developing at a greater pace than ever before. As a consequence, it is vital that the industry stays up-to-date with the latest developments in energy conservation and the new low GWP refrigerants, if they are not to be left behind.”

He continued: “That’s why we developed the Airedale training school – to promote and develop the skills that the air conditioning industries need to stay ahead of the game. At Airedale, we believe that 2016 is a very exciting time to be in the energy solutions business and we want to take the consultants, contractors and other industry professionals along with us. It is also a time when large numbers of Engineers and Technicians need to attend CITB F-Gas re-assessments in order to understand and comply with the new F-Gas regulation introduced in July 2014 and taking effect over a five year period. ”

Airedale classes in the 2016 schedule include: Basic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance and Design Principles. CITB accredited training course are for F-Gas J11 Category 1,2,3,4, Pipe work and brazing and Essential & Refrigeration Electrics.

The company is also accredited by CIBSE to deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for those interested in extending their knowledge of HVAC technologies and data centre applications. Subject to demand, courses can be tailored to specific needs.
