The traditional methods such as OFN have been used for many years and for determining the presence of larger leaks by pressure decay has worked successfully.
However locating the actual leak has always been problematic and as refrigerants have continued to evolve the molecule size has decreased rendering OFN largely ineffective in determining system integrity.
Vulkan Industries Ltd has produced the Loktrace system to make accurate, fast and cost effective leak detection available to all.
This Hydrogen technology has been used for many years in various industries for accurate leak detection in component and production applications, but until now the detection equipment was expensive and not practical for everyday field use.
Vulkan have developed this technology and produced a cased kit containing the electronic detector, pressure regulator and hose, with a light weight cylinder of the inert scientifically blended gas that is already proving itself a success.
